I work with athletes, patients looking to stay active, and individuals seeking a healthy lifestyle. Through an evidence-based, patient-centered approach, I treat both acute and chronic injuries and focus on education, exercise, and manual therapy.
As a strong communicator and attentive listener, I take the time to uncover the important details of a patient’s unique story. Through mentorship from leading sports medicine clinicians, I have been fortunate to develop a strong multi-disciplinary referral network and team approach when guiding patients toward their goals. My aim is to empower patients to leave the clinic with self-management strategies they can use long after their appointments are complete.
Away from clinic, you’ll find me tuned into a Leafs game, making gourmet meals, or enjoying recreational sports leagues in the GTA.
As an avid athlete growing up, I took a particular interest in hockey from a young age. Nagging hip injuries led me to miss my full Grade 11 season and delays in diagnosing the root of the cause led to prolonged injuries and multiple surgeries over many years. Chiropractors were instrumental in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of my hip injuries, which ultimately allowed me to play collegiate hockey for the Princeton University Tigers. Eager to contribute in my sophomore season, I sustained 2 concussions in a 3-month period and never returned to game action. As a student-athlete at Princeton, I was proud to continue my education and graduate with Honours despite my hockey career not going quite as planned.
Upon graduation I moved to Laos, a small landlocked country in Southeast Asia. A third concussion while working in Laos forced me to move home and take a biopsychosocial approach to my own healthcare. Over the next 3 years, I showed a daily and unwavering commitment to rest, diet, rehabilitation exercises, and treatment. Chiropractors again played a pivotal role in my recovery and inspired me to pursue a career in chiropractic. I hope to bring both my personal and professional experiences to all my patient interactions.
